Meet Mack – A Loyal, Loving Larrikin Looking for His Match!

Mack is a cheeky, people-loving boy with a big heart and an even bigger personality. He’s the kind of dog who lights up a room with his goofy antics and loves nothing more than being around his humans. His favourite trick? Wiggling his way between your legs for a cuddle — it’s adorable, but probably best suited to dog-savvy folks with solid footing!

While Mack has lots of positive interactions with dogs since living with multiple foster dogs and visitors, he does prefer a mellow, non challenging woofa.  He doesn’t do well with pushy or dominant canine personalities. If challenged, he’ll stand his ground — so a home with a female or softer male, calm, submissive dog, is preferred.

Mack has not been tested with cats or small animals, and due to his size and strength, a home without them is probably safest. When it comes to toys, he’s not obsessed, he’ll play, but he’d rather hang out with his people. His true joy comes from being part of the action with his humans, whether that’s hanging out on the couch or following you around the yard or out on an adventure.

What Mack Needs

  • Confident, experienced dog owners.
  • A pocket pet-free home with a mellow, non-reactive doggo
  • Children over 5 who are steady on their feet and understand boundaries
  • Secure fencing (5ft+ with no gaps)
  • No dog parks or on-lead doggy meetups – Mack’s not always sure in these social and public settings, so will need your support.

Out and About
Mack is lead-trained and walks beautifully, but will need continued training via his new human and family to continue being just as good. He needs someone who understands leash control and can confidently manage a strong dog. In the wrong hands, he’ll be pulling you down the street chasing the next good smell! We don’t recommend beach trips or off-leash areas where other dogs may be present for Mack.  Controlled environments and structured outings are best for this handsome boy.

The Good Stuff

  • Crate-trained
  • Toilet-trained
  • Sleeps soundly inside
  • Extremely affectionate with his people
  • A loyal companion who bonds deeply

Mack is currently in foster care near Maitland and is ready to find a forever home that truly understands him. He is the perfect dog, for the right person!  He’ll be your perfect mate and family member.
