Millie

Millie’s your typical Kelpie girl, with a bit of Beagle thrown in the mix.  She wants to work and without rules and a job to do, she could potentially get up to mischief. She’s medium to high energy and will definitely need daily exercise for both her activity levels and her mind. She’s currently living with a pack of 7 dogs of all sizes and breeds and fits in well with them all. She was previously an only dog before coming to Tiki so would be ok by herself also, as long as her humans make sure they spend plenty of time with her. Millie is kid savvy but probably better suited to children over 10 as she can be a bit mouthy when she plays. She’s not been tested with cats or pocket pets, but is very, very interested in chickens, so wouldn’t suit free range chickens. She hasn’t shown to be a jumper in care, but a minimum of 5-6 ft fencing is required to keep her safe. If you’re wanting this adorable girl to join your family, you’ll need to be prepared to continue with her training as she needs a family that understands her breeds.  She’s definitely not for inexperienced dog owners. She can be a little shy when meeting new people and needs time to bond with you, but once you win her over and gain her trust, she loves nothing more than a good snuggle and especially an ear rub. Millie is toilet trained and must be allowed to sleep inside at night and spend time with her family inside when they’re home, she will be quite happy outside whilst you’re at work. It will be a very lucky family indeed that gets to welcome this sweet girl into their lives.
