Humphrey is your man!
Humphrey is a 4 year old desexed male purebred Great Dane looking for the perfect home to settle into for the long run. Behind that big facade that some might find intimidating, is a gentle, goofy, loving, affectionate, sweet boy, with such a huge heart.
He loves playing with new and old friends and would be suited to a home that has a friend to snuggle up with so he doesn’t get lonely. He is great with people but often thinks he is still a little pup and forgets that he is huge! A person with breed experience would be preferred.
Humphrey knows his basic commands: sit,down,stay,bed, shake and can go to the toilet on command. He would be a perfect fit for a dedicated owner who has time to spend with him working on these skills to keep them strong, as sometimes he can be a little lazy.
This big lug is great to walk on a halti and loves to go on strolls and play however, as he is ageing he is becoming more of a slug and tires quickly.
Humphrey craves routine and is caught a little off guard if things are changed too frequently or if the household is too busy. Regular dinner parties and barbecues aren’t his style as he prefers a quiet night in on the lounge.
He adores his people and would love someone who has a lot of time to spend with him and maybe even let him have a morning snuggle every so often.
Humphrey is up to date with his vaccinations and had a preventative gastropexy when he was younger. His recent bloodwork shows he has a clean bill of health. He is on medication once a day as he can sometimes be a worrying fellow but this isn’t likely to be long term.
There is a donation fee for Humphs towards Tiki to help them assist other dogs in need of new homes themselves. His devastated paw-rents just hope to find a home that love him just as much as they do and they hope he doesn’t have to wait too long. He will come with everything he needs to settle in to his new home including beds, jumpers, leads, halti, toys, food and pheromone diffuser to make the transition period easier.
Humphrey is ready for his final home now and is located in the Newcastle area.
