Murphy is one of our longest termers; a stunning friendly 5 year old ridgeback x mastiff. This boy is a beauty and such a regal character.
He is searching for a committed home that can continue his rehabilitation on a past neglected knee injury. But that doesn’t slow him down for wanting to go out and about, walk and play with other doggies.
Murphy would suit a home with another doggie friend; one that wants to rough and tumble and is able to cope with his larger size and play style. He may suit being an only dog if someone was home more often than not as he does get a little anxious when someone is away from the home.
Because of this he will need fencing 6ft and above that’s free from gaps and holes. And a home that allows him to be part of the family and inside especially at night to sleep.
Murphy sometimes forgets his size so he would be best suited to kids stable footed and dog savvy but over the age of 5 years.
Murphy has the ability with slow introductions to live with a cat friend but his new owners will need to make sure that boundaries and time are allocated to helping this interspecies relationship
Murphy is located in the Newcastle area and his adoption fee is $500. He’s ready to meet his match and hopes it’s not too much longer
