Barney has big wide eyes hoping they’ll make you fall for him.
This sweet handsome boy has had a bit of a rough life before arriving into care. He was found abandoned in an apartment building for up to 3 months and he’s a very lucky boy to finally be safe.
And to still have an amazingly trusting and loving personality is so heart warming.
He loves other dogs and would thrive sharing his home with another playful and social pooch; because he loves to rumble and tumble he’s best suited to medium to large dogs so he can have a good matched game with them.

He’s still only young only around 12 months of age and a bit of a bouncy boxer boy. So is best suited to kids over the age of 7 who are confident with dogs.
He hasn’t met any cats/ pocket pets/ poultry or livestock so we aren’t too sure how he would go with them.

His new home will have secure and safe fencing 5ft and over; free from gaps and holes. Or he may suit rural fencing for the right home.
His new home will allow him inside the home especially at night throughout his life.

Barney may suit living as an only dog in the home if someone worked from home and was home more often than not. He wouldn’t suit someone who works full time and wants to leave him at home alone. But he will suit full time workers with another existing dog in the home.

Barney hopes he doesn’t have to wait too long. He’s located in the Newcastle area and is available for NSW and ACT adoption.
No interstate please.
His adoption fee is $600 and he’s ready to leave for his new home now.
He’s a boxer mix so is looking for a moderately active home to fit into
