Ziggy loves car rides and is lulled to sleep in a very short time. She looks perfect and we think she is but little Ziggy is unable to see. We’re unsure if this is a congenital defect or she suffered oxygen loss at birth but she has no sight at all. She certainly doesn’t let this stop her but it means she needs an extra special family to be able to provide her with a bit of extra care and training to develop into a confident, independent young lady and she is well on her way to achieving this.
A calm, patient doggy sibling able to cope with her less than gentle play and to provide her with guidance and companionship when her humans aren’t around would be ESSENTIAL, no only dog homes . She has currently attached herself to her foster brother (Lab) and she relies on him to find her way around.
She is super smart and is adapting to her new surroundings pretty quickly, with plenty of bumps and stumbles still along the way but she lets nothing stop her and just keeps going. Ziggy needs a calm household, a stable environment and NO young children (under the age of 10 years), someone who is prepared to be patient and provide her with training to enable her to live a full and happy life.
We would prefer someone who has experience with blind dogs and a home that is capable of handling her grooming needs. Ziggy will only be available for NSW or ACT adoption, and must be allowed inside especially at night.
She is located in the Raymond Terrace area of NSW and is ready to meet her new family now.
